  • The Joy of the Grind

Make sure your morning cup's as good as the beans.

We're now offering only whole beans (no more ground options) through our online shop. Beyond it being difficult to get the grind size precisely as the customer wants (each has a different idea of the perfect grind size for their French Press), we believe in grinding at home, right before you make your pot or cup. It’s simply and truly the best way to make the best  coffee. We take pride in our beans and we want to make sure your morning cup is as good as the beans you're ordering. Oh, and there are so many other ways it'll make you smile.

  • Our latest coffee, sourced directly from Chiapas, Mexico

We’re so proud to finally offer you this coffee that we sourced last winter on our coffee buying trip to Mexico. After visiting and cupping many beans from Oaxaca and Chiapas, we selected this beautiful coffee--Organic Mexico Chiapas Tzeltal Tzotzil - Fair Trade/Direct Trade--from the high mountains of Chiapas, grown by small, family-owned, indigenous farmers organized around the Tzeltal-Tzotzil Cooperative.
  • Celebrate Mother's Day with CAMPESINAS

We feature a rotating array of coffees grown by female coffee growers around the world under our "Campesinas" label, donating $1 for every pound sold to Cafe Femenino. Since 2004, Café Femenino has been an ethical sourcing model committed to ending the cycle of poverty afflicting women coffee farmers across the world. And so our new CAMPESINAS coffee is a beautiful Colombian from the highlands of Narina.

  • Cascara! Good for you, the farmer and the fish

We're now serving cold brew Cascara in the cafe and at the Great Barrington Farmer's Market. We've known about it for a while, but it was while we were in Panama last February that we grew to love it. And not just for the taste. It also happens to be super-high in antioxidants, great for the environment and even better for the farmers who grow it.
