The French perfected the art of high quality, hand-harvested sea salt by using centuries-old methods. Sel Gris is known for its distinctive grey color, coming from the clay lining the salt ponds. Other defining features include its high moisture and mineral content. The signature coarse crystal is carefully sifted from the finer, brut grains to give Sel Gris a delicate crunch.
