We are very happy to have Thomas Libetti's TREE DRAWINGS in the gallery from November 1st through December 15th. TREE DRAWINGS arrives at a different kind of natural expression in mark making. The white of the paper pays homage to the child, or beginner, who, for the first time as mark maker, confronts the blank page. 

The spare, painted line over white gesso surface represents a deconstructed painting, stripping it to its bare essentials, allowing the action and paint itself precedence over otherwise contrived pictorial techniques.
